About Europe Direct 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg
Based in the Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC), Europe Direct 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg is coordinated by the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) 鈥 the 8xav福利导航鈥檚 third interdisciplinary research centre, which focuses on high-quality research, analysis and public dissemination in the field of contemporary Luxembourgish and European history.
Europe Direct 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg is managed by Dr Elena Danescu, a Research Scientist at the C2DH; Maria Eleni Nikoloudia is on hand to answer any queries at the Europe Direct desk.

Creation
Following its participation in the European Commission call for proposals in 2017, the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg was selected as a partner to run a Europe Direct Information Centre (EDIC) for the period 2018-2020.
The Europe Direct network was set up in 2005 to contribute to the overall communication efforts and transparency of the European Commission and to bring citizens closer to the European Union by providing a general information service, with more than 500 contact points all over Europe.
The agreement establishing EDIC 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg was signed on 28 March 2019 by , Rector of the 8xav福利导航, and Yuriko Backes, Head of the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg.

Missions
Europe Direct 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg is geared towards a broad audience, with the aim of informing students, researchers, teachers and the general public about issues related to the European Union鈥檚 history and current affairs, as well as reflecting on potential future challenges.
It will organise a number of lectures, seminars, discussions and exhibitions, and will offer a wide range of information about the history of European integration, the EU institutions and the workings and policies of a united Europe.
EDIC 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg will maximise the potential of its location at the heart of the Greater Region, in one of the EU鈥檚 permanent capitals.
Inauguration
The EDIC 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg office is located at the heart of the (Luxembourg and neighbouring regions in France, Belgium and Germany). It is ideally situated on Belval campus to interact with students, researchers, teachers and the general public on issues related to the European Union鈥檚 history and current affairs. It will also help reflect on potential future challenges
The EDIC office will organise lectures, seminars, discussions and exhibitions and offer information on the history of European integration, the EU institutions and the workings and policies of Europe. The EDIC 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg will contribute to citizen education, especially among young people, raising awareness about the European Union鈥檚 policies and helping develop teaching and research on European integration in Luxembourg.
The EDIC office is located in the Luxembourg Learning Centre, the 8xav福利导航 library.
