Vice-Rector for Research

Prof. Dr Simone Niclou took office as vice-rector for research of the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Luxembourg on 1 March 2023.

The vice-rector for research is responsible for the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½â€™s research vision, strategy and agenda as well as for evaluation and improvement of research quality and output.

Prof. Niclou is in charge of coordinating the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½â€™s efforts to establish and further develop teaching and research for life sciences, medicine and health professions, in close concertation with national actors.

Other key responsibilities include the strengthening of interdisciplinary and innovation initiatives, and doctoral education. She represents the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ in national and international scientific committees and organisations and establishes relations with relevant public and industry players.
