Luis Manuel GARCES SOCARRAS received his PhD from the Technological 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Havana (Cuba) in 2017. He has previous experience as a Professor and researcher in the particular areas of Electronics and Digital Systems. His research interests include the speed enhancement of time-critical applications by reconfigurable hardware, such as Real-time Video and Image Processing, Real-time Digital Signal Processing, Internet of Things, Machine Learning Applications, Fuzzy Logic, and Artificial Intelligence. Luis Manuel joined the Signal Processing & Satellite Communications research group, SIGCOM, headed by Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas as a Research and Development Specialist in April 2022. Since January 2024, he has been a Research Associate/Postdoctoral Researcher in the same group.
