Current position
Firas Bayram is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg, which he joined in 2025. He is a member of the Security, Reasoning and Validation (SerVal) research group, led by Prof. Maxime Cordy.
Research
His research focuses on machine learning systems that maintain their performance as operating environments evolve, with a particular emphasis on concept drift and adaptive learning under changing data distributions. He has applied this research across a range of applications, from industrial production processes to large language model (LLM)-based systems.
Educational background
Firas Bayram obtained his PhD in Machine Learning from Karlstad 8xav福利导航 in 2025. His thesis, Machine Learning in Motion: Engineering Self-Adaptive Systems, built on his Licentiate degree in Computer Science, which he earned at the same university in 2023. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from the 8xav福利导航 of Genoa, awarded cum laude, in 2020.
