    The 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Luxembourg (Uni.lu) was founded in 2003.     The Communications Department of the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Luxembourg is in charge of:

    • media counselling for researchers

    • social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube)

    • internal communication
  • Description Internship

    First half day: Introduction to the functioning of the Communications Department of the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Luxembourg.

    Afterwards: Individual project for the intern to work on for 2 weeks. For instance, writing a journalistic long-form text about a comprehensive topic (e.g. citizen science projects at UL, science based on computer modelling, education in a multilingual context, space research in Luxembourg,…) and/or preparing some multimedia elements to accompany them. The results will be published on the website of the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Luxembourg. The Communications Department will support the interns with these projects and give them feedback on their work. Based on individual preferences and capacity interns may also work on a different project (e.g. events, press conferences, social media projects etc.) or take over daily tasks (e.g. answering press inquiries, preparing press reviews, assisting in writing articles for the website etc.) to gain a realistic picture of public relations.

  • Entry requirements

    • Working as a doctoral candidate in Luxembourg
    • Excellent English language skills
    • Basic knowledge of office tools, experience with CRMs or HTML is only needed if you want to work with web editors
    • Some experience in content production (writing, image or video) is desirable
    • A good eye for attractive content
    • Motivated
  • Logistical requirements

    • Ideally 2 weeks block course
    • Possibly a preparatory meeting 2 weeks before the start of the internship
    • Workplace is ideally at 15th floor of MSA (Campus Belval)
    • The possibility of remote internship to be discussed
