About
We research language learning and teaching in multilingual primary and secondary schools and in teacher education in Luxembourg.
Objectives
- We contribute to the development of theories on teaching and learning languages in multilingual and multicultural education contexts (i.e. 鈥渄idactique du plurilinguisme鈥, 鈥淢ehrsprachigkeitsdidaktik鈥).
- We explore, improve and develop teaching and learning approaches, methods, practices and materials that meet the special needs of the diverse learners and teachers.
- We also contribute to teacher education and professionalization as teachers play a key role in students鈥 educational success and their social integration.

Theories and methods
- Our research projects are based on educational, pedagogical, linguistic, sociolinguistic and sociocultural theories.
- We use (longitudinal) mixed-method approaches, predominantly qualitative but also quantitative methods.
