Mia Dzepina is a PhD researcher in Political Science in the Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences. She holds a Master鈥檚 degree in European Governance from the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg and a Master鈥檚 degree in English Literature and History from the 8xav福利导航 of Edinburgh (UK).
Her research examines the relationship between economic insecurity and support for populist parties, particularly during periods of exogenous shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a comparative, mixed-methods approach, she studies how institutional buffers, especially healthcare access and welfare provision, as well as personal health and economic precarity impact voting behaviors and populist support.
