Amelie Bendheim is Associate professor in German Literature / Medieval Studies. She is deputy director of the Institut für deutsche Sprache, Literatur und für Interkulturalität at the Department of Humanities and Erasmus Coordinator for Incoming Students and Partnership Agreements (German Studies).

In her doctoral thesis Amelie Bendheim offers a media and socio-historical reinterpretation of the narrative openings in Middle High German romances, introducing an analytical model of text-framing (, Winter 2017).

Amelie Bendheim is responsible co-editor of the open access journal (ZiG, transcript) and Scientific Board Member of the series (Steiner).

Amelie Bendheim is program director of the Bachelor in European Cultures-German Studies and deputy program director of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Transnational German Studies.

She teaches at Bachelor, Master and PhD levels, offering courses in Medieval and Cultural Studies (diachronic interculturalism, media history, German literature in a European context), Medical Humanities, Employability and Promotion of Competencies.

Amelie Bendheim supervises Bachelor, Master and PhD theses. She is advisory board member of the Ecole doctorale transfrontalière .

Amelie Bendheim received the 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ of Luxemburg’s Teaching Award (2022).
