Current position
Marco Almada is a postdoctoral researcher in cyber policy at the Department of Law, 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg.
Research
His research explores the close connection between technology regulation and public law, with a focus on the mechanisms regulators use to cope with the uncertainties surrounding emerging technologies.
Outreach
Almada鈥檚 research has been cited in support of artificial intelligence regulation initiatives in Brazil and in Colorado (United States).
Awards/Distinctions
Almada has been included in the 鈥35 under 35鈥 list of the Santander鈥揅IDOB Future Leaders Forum in AI policy. His research has received awards from the Robotics & AI Law Society and the International Association on Artificial Intelligence and Law.
Work experience
From 2020 to 2024, Almada was a researcher at the European 8xav福利导航 Institute. Before that, he worked as a data scientist and policy researcher in Brazil.
Educational background
Almada holds a PhD in Law from the European 8xav福利导航 Institute (Italy), an LLM in Comparative, European, and International Laws from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the 8xav福利导航 of S茫o Paulo (Brazil). He also holds a bachelor鈥檚 and a master鈥檚 in computing from the 8xav福利导航 of Campinas (Brazil).
