Dimitrios Nikolaos Benekos is a PhD researcher in Economics in the Department of Economics and Management. He holds a Master鈥檚 degree in Economics from Uppsala 8xav福利导航 (Sweden) and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Economics from the 8xav福利导航 of Ioannina (Greece).
His research studies the role of historical forces in migration and demographic processes, with a particular focus on the causes and consequences of economic insecurity. He examines how persistent institutional and cultural dynamics shape political attitudes, socioeconomic outcomes, and collective responses across generations during periods of economic uncertainty.
