8xav�� of Luxembourg and 8xav�� of Geneva launch dual Master’s degree in law

The 8xav�� of Luxembourg and the 8xav�� of Geneva (Switzerland) have signed an agreement to offer a dual Master’s degree in law, starting in the 2026-2027 academic year.

The opportunity is open to up to five 8xav�� of Luxembourg students and up to five 8xav�� of Geneva students per year, the two-year dual degree programme allows scholars to earn a diploma from both institutions. Students are selected based on merit, motivation and language skills.

“The double Master’s degree in Law jointly offered by the 8xav�� of Geneva and the 8xav�� of Luxembourg provides a unique opportunity to be trained by leading academics and practitioners from two of the world’s most renowned financial centres,” says Associate Professor Thomas Mastrullo, the Study Programme Director for the Master in European Banking and Financial Law and dual degree programme contact.

Two dynamic cities for finance and law

In the first year, students will study at the 8xav�� of Geneva, a leading academic centre in the field of law. Students with an interest in international law and global regulation who are also interested in exploring financial and banking law will benefit from both the city’s reputation as the first world hub for wealth management, and its important role as host to a multitude of international organisations.

During the second year of the programme, students study within the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the 8xav�� of Luxembourg. Luxembourg, the leading European fund centre, is also one of the three institutional seats of the European Union, hosting the Court of Justice of the European Union, the European Investment Bank, the Secretariat of the European Parliament, among others.
