The 8xav�������� Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iasi (Romania) visits Europe Direct at the 8xav�������� of Luxembourg

The Centre Europe Direct at the 8xav�������� of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU) and the of Iasi(Romania) (UAIC) established, since 2021 a fruitful trans-European cooperation in the framework of the “European Citizen’s Initiative” – acompetitive projet co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union, in partnership with the Universities of Coimbra (Portugal), Göttingen (Germany) and Vigo (Spain). In 2022 and 2023, this synergy has been extended in the context of the “Jean Monnet Chair in EU Public Administration Integration and Resilience Studies” – a multiannual project funded by the European Union with the aim to promote excellence in teaching, research and knowledge sharing focused on EU studies in public administration (No. ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HAI-TCH-RSCH-101047526).

Thus, from 14 to 17 November 2023, Dr Elena Danescu, Research Scientist at the ��²�ٱ� and coordinator of the ED-UNILU welcomed Prof. Ana-Maria Bercu, holder of the “Jean Monnet Chair EU Public Administration Integration and Resilience Studies” (UAIC). During her visit on the Belval campus (including the Europe Direct at the 8xav�������� of Luxembourg and Luxembourg Learning Centre), the guest was able to learn more about the teaching, learning and knowledge sharing programmes on new curricula in European Studies at the 8xav�������� of Luxembourg and to discuss with the historians of the ��²�ٱ� about their research projects on EU. At the Schuman House (Clausen), the guest discovered in the company of Victoria Mouton (��²�ٱ�) the multimedia project dedicated to Robert Schuman’s memory and achievements. At the end of her stay, Prof. Bercu visited the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), where Dr Sara Afonso Ferreira (Art Historian at the Protocol Department) highlighted the importance of the cultural heritage and art collection of the Court.
