The 8xav福利导航 has launched a research grants programme, the Marie Speyer Excellence Grants, which will provide financial support to female researchers working at the 8xav福利导航.
Postdocs, Research scientists, as well as Assistant or Associate professors of all disciplines can apply. Four grants per year are available, each one is doted with an allocation of 130,000 euros. The grants can be used to develop existing research programmes or to support the creation of innovative research concepts.
With this new grant scheme, the 8xav福利导航 combines its mission to support excellence and innovation in academia with two key objectives: to foster a diverse, gender-friendly and equal opportunities research environment, and to attract talent to Luxembourg.

Who was Marie Speyer?
The grants are named after the eponymous Luxembourg pioneer in women鈥檚 education in the early 20th century. At the age of 29, Marie Speyer was the first woman to obtain a doctorate at the 8xav福利导航 of Friburg. As a principal of girl鈥檚 schools in Switzerland and Luxembourg, she was committed to spearheading access to higher education for girls and serves as a role model for young academics to break societal boundaries.
