On 10 May 2026, the European Documentation Centre at the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg (EDC鈥慤NILU), represented by Maria Eleni Nikoloudia, actively participated in the celebrations in Wiltz, which attracted more than 4,000 visitors.
Throughout the day, EDC-UNILU had the opportunity to inform the public about its mission and activities, while also promoting the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg and its role in fostering European knowledge and research. EU publications as well as informational material about the 8xav福利导航 were made available to the public. Engaging exchanges with visitors allowed for meaningful discussions about the European Union, its policies, and its impact on citizens鈥 daily lives.
The event also provided an excellent platform to strengthen ties with key partners, including the , the , as well as other European Documentation Centres and Europe Direct centres.
Following the official opening ceremony, which was attended by H.R.H. Grand Duke Guillaume and other distinguished guests, visitors were entertained by a varied programme featuring cultural and musical highlights. The focus this year was on everyday life in rural Europe, particularly in the Eislek region, with initiatives that shape citizens’ daily lives being highlighted.
The Europe Day celebrations were a great success overall, offering valuable opportunities for outreach, dialogue and networking in a vibrant and engaging setting. EDC-UNILU would like to congratulate the on their excellent organisation of the event.
