Dominique Santana is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg’s Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C虏DH). She leads the transmedia project ““, which explores the fascinating stories of Europe’s most powerful commercial radio station and its formative influence on generations of listeners.
As a public historian and creative filmmaker specialised in digital media and immersive storytelling, Dominique has been inventively bridging the gap between the creative worlds of filmmaking, transmedia storytelling and historical narratives, as with her recent transmedia documentary project 鈥淎 Col么nia Luxemburguesa鈥 (2022). Her work has been selected to international festivals, such as Sheffield DocFest or Sunny Side of the Doc, and was recently granted the for “Outstanding Promotion of Science to the Public”.
Dominique holds a Ph.D in History from the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg鈥檚 Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH), specialised in Transmedia Storytelling and Digital Public History. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the Universit茅 Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and a master鈥檚 degree from the Humboldt-Universit盲t zu Berlin, both in History and Art History. Besides her academic and filmmaking activities, Dominique also has 3 years of experience in local TV broadcasting.
