Welcome to Adila Laïdi-Hanieh, Public Historian in Residence

Adila Laïdi-Hanieh will join the C²DH from April to May 2024.

Dr Adila Laïdi-Hanieh is a Palestinian art historian and the former Director General of the (2018-2023.) She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from George Mason 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ and has published several books and essays.

She taught Modern and Contemporary Arab Thought, and Palestinian Art History at Birzeit 8xav¸£Àûµ¼º½ from 2006 to 2008 and ran the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah from 1996 to 2005.

She will stay several weeks at the C²DH and will contribute to the discussions on digital and public history engagement for museums and other cultural institutions.
