If you are struggling financially and are worried that this may affect your ability to continue your studies, you may be eligible for assistance from the Hardship Fund. The Hardship Fund is intended to act as a safety net for those in financial difficulty; it may not be used a main source of income and should not be seen as a grant or a scholarship.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"other-help-you-should-look-into-before-applying-to-the-hardship-fund\"\n    >\nOther help you should look into before applying to the Hardship Fund<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Luxembourg students<\/strong>&nbsp;should apply to <a href=\"https:\/\/mengstudien.public.lu\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MengStudien<\/a> to see whether they are eligible for any grants or loans before submitting an application to the Hardship Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EU students<\/strong>&nbsp;should have applied for any student grants and loans that are available in their home country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Overseas students<\/strong>&nbsp;have to supply proof of funding before arriving in Luxembourg and should ask their guarantors to honour this plan before submitting an application to the Hardship Fund. To qualify for funding you must meet certain <strong>conditions<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"ulux-list\">\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">The 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg Hardship Fund is available from the <strong>3rd semester onward<\/strong> of your <strong>current<\/strong> Study Programme  (you need to have completed at least 2 previous semesters at the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg in your current Study Programme) <strong>and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">you must be fully registered in a <strong>Bachelor<\/strong>,<strong> Master<\/strong> or <strong>self-funded Doctoral <\/strong>Programme at the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg <strong>and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">not have applied for or have been granted other financial aids <strong>and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">not have been subject to a disciplinary sanction during your studies at the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg <strong>and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"ulux-list-item\">be in immediate, unexpected and <strong>exceptional need<\/strong> of help for reasons of financial hardship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>All students are expected to have made adequate and realistic financial provision to cover core living costs, i.e. rent, food and utility bills, before starting their Study Programme. You can take what you want, and you can deposit any food that you do not need.
