About
The Fondation Jacqueline NOEL, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, grants merit-based scholarships to recently graduated female doctoral students of the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg who completed a PhD and defended their thesis in the fields of Economics or International Development at the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be recent PhD graduates from the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg who defended their thesis in the fields of economics or international development during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Laureates of the Pierre Werner Scholarship are not eligible.

Application procedure
Applicants should submit the following documents (in English or French) via email.
- a duly completed application form
- a CV, including a list of publications/presentations (if applicable)
- two letters of recommendation (academic)
- ECTS transcript of records (PhD/doctoral studies)
Applications for the 2025-2026 period will open on聽17 September 2025聽and close on 6 October 2025 at noon.
Incomplete applications or those submitted outside the application period will not be considered.

Following the announcement of the scholarship laureate, the award will be paid out in one instalment.
About the Fondation Jacqueline NOEL
The Fondation Jacqueline NOEL was created in tribute to Jacqueline Noel, a citizen of the world and fervent European. Jacqueline Noel shared the belief of Nelson Mandela, a figure she had the chance to meet during her career, that 鈥渆ducation is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.鈥 Born during the German occupation, Jacqueline Noel grew up to be a dedicated student, earning a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from the Universit茅 Libre de Bruxelles. She began her career as a researcher at the World Bank and later at the European Investment Bank.
The foundation was created in her memory by her dear friend in the hopes of perpetuating Jacqueline Noel鈥檚 values and ideals, namely the belief that hard work and dedication can lead to fulfilment in one鈥檚 life while creating positive change for the benefit of all.
