As co-leader of a European consortium of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) bodies, he shapes innovative HTA models in Germany and across Europe. Appointed Europe\u2019s first full professor of Digital Medicine, JK has defined this interdisciplinary field by integrating medicine, engineering, data science, social sciences, and health economics to accelerate digital health adoption. He has led the development and clinical implementation of sensor-based gait analysis systems, transforming diagnostics and disease monitoring across neurological, musculoskeletal, and oncological conditions. Highlights include the prestigious&nbsp;PEARL Fellowship&nbsp;of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (2021), leadership of the&nbsp;Digital Health Ecosystem&nbsp;initiative funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economics (2019), and the&nbsp;Fraunhofer Attract Program&nbsp;grant for the DHPmove project (2018). He also served as spokesman for European innovation initiatives such as&nbsp;EIT Health MoveIT&nbsp;(2018) and contributed to&nbsp;EIT Digital Vital@Home&nbsp;(2018).<\/p>\n\n<p>Earlier recognitions include the&nbsp;Medical Valley Award&nbsp;from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs (2017), the&nbsp;Bavarian Innovation Prize for Health Telematics&nbsp;(2015), and the&nbsp;Erlangen Medical-Technical Award&nbsp;for embedded gait analysis (2014).
