Specific information for this programme

  • Required Degree

    Candidates for admission at the Bachelor in Animation are required to hold:

    • The Luxembourg “Diplôme de fin d’études secondaires” or “secondaires techniques” or a foreign equivalent recognised by the Ministry of National Education
    • 60 ECTS accredited by the BTS Dessin d’Animation or BTS Game Art and Game Design (Lycée des Arts et Métiers, Luxembourg) or an equivalent study programme or 3+ years of professional experience in the field of Animation.
  • Language Skills

    Oral and written skills in English (B2) or French (B2).

    • Transcripts of grades since the beginning of higher education or university studies proving the acquisition of 60 ECTS
    • Motivation Letter in FR or EN (one page)
    • Portfolio of artistic works (to be sent to: bachelors.ulcc@uni.lu)
    • Validation of professional experience if the student does not have 60 ECTS (UE and NON-UE): CV mentioning 3 years of professional experience after obtaining a secondary school diploma recognised in Luxembourg

Portfolio of Visual Works

What to include in your Portfolio of Visual Works

  • Life sketches of people and animals in different poses and attitudes (maximum 10 pieces total)
  • Grayscale or colored drawings of natural and architectural landscapes (maximum 5 pieces total)
  • 3D models made in a 3D Software such as Blender, Maya or 3ds Max, including props, sets or characters (maximum 5 pieces in total)
  • Other computer artwork in Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. (optional but recommended, maximum 5 images)
  • Animation samples in 2D traditional, 3D or digital animation (optional but recommended, maximum 5 video clips)
