The European Master for High Performance Computing (EUMaster4HPC)<\/a>, will develop its programme with an additional focus on artificial intelligence and quantum computing, starting in September 2026. These additions address Europe\u2019s growing need for experts at the intersection of HPC and emerging technologies, equipping students with skills in the latest cutting-edge technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As artificial intelligence<\/a> and quantum computing<\/a> rapidly reshape the computational landscape, the programme ensures that graduates are prepared not only with advanced technical expertise, but also with the interdisciplinary skills to navigate, innovate, and lead in these transformative fields. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EUMaster4HPC consortium is a collaborative effort of 43 partners from 23 countries, with the 8xav福利导航 of Luxembourg selected as the main coordinator through Prof. Marko Ran\u010di\u0107<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students can accomplish their master in two partner institutions of their choice. Through this international mobility<\/a>, students will gain broad international experience while studying diverse HPC environments and finally earn a double degree from the two universities. Whether at a partner university, through a research centre, a supercomputing centre or in the industry, they will focus on real-world challenges such as climate modelling, bioinformatics, aerospace engineering, materials science, and financial simulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After its four-year pilot phase, this unique Master\u2019s programme will continue to emphasise interdisciplinarity and cross-border collaboration and will provide national and European students with a world-class education that will serve industry and society at large, fostering highly sought-after expertise in advanced computing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduates of the EUMaster4HPC programme gain advanced expertise and a strong professional network as part of the European HPC community. This opens direct pathways to careers in leading supercomputing centres, research centres, and industry, while nearly half of graduates continue their academic journey with a PhD.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EUMaster4HPC is funded by the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, a European Union public-private partnership, with an overall budget of \u20ac10 million. The EUMaster4HPC will train 400 students in Europe over the next six years. Undergraduate students from all technical disciplines in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, with strong programming skills, can apply until 15 August 2026:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
